Dr. Tony Neri has 20 years of experience with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Indian Health Service leading and managing large domestic, tribal, and international public health programs, many of which grew to become self-sustaining initiatives. He directed the CDC Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship Program (PMR/F) from 2015–2022 and led CDC’s telehealth efforts for the COVID-19 response to develop and implement CDC’s strategic plan and research agenda. In 2025 Tony retired as the Chief Data Scientist and Co-Acting Division Director for the CDC Division of Environmental Health Science and Practice, supporting STLTs and 275 staff with ~ $187M budget.
